TymduaR Calabar Branch Launch: A Step Towards Community Transformation
The official launch of TymduaR Calabar branch was a resounding success, featuring training sessions for small business owners, aspiring farmers, and general youths. The event aimed to drive community transformation through training, empowerment, and agribusiness development. Engr. Peter Oko welcomed the team and her guest with briefings on TymduaR’s mission, vision, aims and core objectives X-raying her salient activities over the past 15 years that he has been an ardent member and is glad that the organization has thought it wise to bring her activities to the public as every sector has gone digital. Mr. Tom Alims delivered a compelling talk on investing in agriculture and real estate, while the CEO provided an elaborate lecture on biological assets multiplication and income streams diversification in agriculture.
The event featured empowerment sessions, where Ms. Otoro Mary Ukwun, Calabar Team Ambassador, received a deep freezer to boost her business. Additionally, several individuals received support, including Cally Nche (pressing iron), Ushie John (100 suckers of plantain), Elijah Ugani (pad support for girls), and Patrick Ellah (fertilizer support). Perpetual Okwe and others also received little business cash supports.
Worthy of recognition and appreciation were Engr. & Mrs Peter Oko, Officer & Mrs Ekane Peter M, MC Benny Ushang, and Mrs. Joy for their exceptional contributions to the event. We also acknowledge the presence and support of esteemed guests, including Sir & Mrs. Tom Alims, Sir & Mrs. Moses Ogri, Mrs. Bajie Clara, Abigail Agbor Mary Ofar-ochuwe Bajie Clara Moses Emere Vick Ogar Evangeliat Charity, amongst others.
The CEO, Mr. Felix PaulMary Ekol, emphasized the importance of agriculture as a tool for economic transformation, urging participants to leverage the organization's resources to build a brighter future, distributing free crested face caps to all 100 participants and encouraging them to establish home gardens. This initiative is part of our commitment to promoting sustainable livelihoods and supporting vulnerable populations and small-scale businesses as the importance of agriculture cannot be over emphasized with a promissory note that a mega Agro event will come up 6 to 8 of Nov. 2025 aimed at sensitizing both the general public, corporative and empowering rural farmers for optimum production and technological advancements.
